The Mountain

March 13, 2010, 5:04pm

Herb Stevens called for snow at the upper elevations this weekend and once again just like his predictions for the "Snowicane" two+ weeks ago he's right on the money.  So far it has been snowing from Wall Street to the summit all afternoon leaving us with 1-2+".   The National weather Service just updated it's forecast and is calling for 4-8" tonight, it's coming down hard right now plus add another 1-3" for Sunday.  This "Frosting on the Cake" is just what the doctor ordered in weather such as we are experienceing this weekend.  Our groomers will be out in force tonight returning this mountain to the the fantastic conditions that we have been experiencing over the past few weeks.  We'll be ready for you tomorrow morning with great skiing and riding as well as the Windham Mountain experience you have come to expect.  We'll be looking for you.

We will be open tomorrow from 8am until 4pm with 38 trails so far but check back tomorrow morning for additional openings, 33 trail groomed and 5 terrain parks, plus we'll have 10 lifts to get you there.   Pack your car and make your plans to visit Windham Mountain.  Don't forget to call the daily phone report for updates.

The Windham Mountain Adventure Park is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-5pm for snow tubing. There is also a very comfortable timber frame lodge at the Adventure Park with a large fireplace, big screen TV's and a cafeteria.  A great place to refuel between your tubing runs.

If you haven't been to Rock'n Mexicana Cantina + Grill, make plans now. The food is exceptional: 25 different tequilas await your arrival with hand-crafted margaritas, numerous bottled Mexican beers as well as XX on tap with some other fine drafts. Ole!
