Summer Fun In The Catskills

Thank you for your interest in Camp Adventure at Windham Mountain. We are committed to the safety of our guests and employees. Given the current circumstances we have made the difficult decision to not offer Camp Adventure programming for the 2020 Summer season. We appreciate your understanding and we are already looking forward to our Camp Adventure offerings in Summer 2021.

Get your kids outdoors for a meaningful experience in the beautiful Catskill Mountains! Camp Adventure is an ecology based day program packed with hands-on activities. Your children will foster a lasting love of Mother Nature…and get a healthy dose of fresh, mountain air!

Camp Adventure is for ages 5 to 12.

Camp Adventure at Windham Mountain Resort is a facility licensed by the New York State Department of Health. Immunization records including proof of the Measles vaccine must be provided in order to register.

Day Sessions Run:
Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm
July 6, 2020 – August 21, 2020

Each Week at Camp Adventure features a new theme.

2020 Camp Adventure Themes – due to the Covid-19 response, 2020 camp will not be offered.  The list below is meant to provide guests with a sampling of themed weeks and is subject to change for 2021.

July 6 – 10: Wild and Wacky – Enjoy the wacky side of nature by learning about strange creatures, making exploding potions and weird slimes plus conducting crazy science experiments.

July 13 – 17: Forest Ranger School – Earn badges through daily challenges in conservation, tree identification, and survival skills to become a junior Forest Ranger.

July 20 – 24: Puzzled – Everyone loves being puzzled! Play giant I-Spy, solve clues to find your way out of the Escape Room, and make your own take home Jigsaw puzzle.

July 27 – 31:  Tokyo Olympics – Japanese culture and worldwide sports meet in this exciting rendition of the Summer Olympic Games. Who will bring home the gold?

August 3 – 7: Shipwrecked – Have you ever imagined that you were shipwrecked on a deserted island? Learn how to survive by foraging, shelter building, reading a compass and maybe finding some hidden treasures along the way!

August 10 – 14: Mysteries at the Museum -Who stole the Mona Lisa’s smile? Solve fun mysteries while exploring famous art pieces and ancient artifacts.

August 16 – 21: Planet Protectors – Engage your love of the Earth while learning how to better protect animals and our most precious resources. Practice “upcycling” by turning trash into treasures.

A 10% discount will be applied to families with more than one child attending camp.

*Passholders for 2020-2021 Winter Season.

** In order to receive this discount students must show proof of enrollment in school at Windham Ashland Jewett Central School or the adjacent districts of Cairo-Durham, Hunter-Tannersville or Gilboa-Conesville.

Campers bring their own lunch and filled water bottles each day.

Please note: a submitted reservation form is not a confirmed reservation.  The form must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the desired date. Consider the reservation confirmed once you receive a phone or email confirmation.  A copy of the child’s Immunization Records must be submitted to Camp Director prior to start of camp.


  • LUNCH- Children should pack a healthy lunch with them each day as well as a full water bottle.  Afternoon snack is provided.
  • PACKING- Children should dress for camp in play clothes and sneakers suitable for walking. Please consider also bringing the following items which can be stored on site in their assigned cubby:
    • Sunscreen
    • Change of Clothes (we may get wet/dirty)
    • Bathing Suit
    • Towel
    • Sandals
    • Bug Repellent
  • SAFETY- Please be advised that children will be participating in activities in wooded and grassy areas, a common place to find ticks. Children should be checked for ticks every day.
  • TRANSPORTATION- Camp Adventure is a community based camp that includes excursions to nearby attractions such as streams and hiking trails. Children will be transported to these locations via shuttle bus with a DOT licensed driver.
  • BEHAVIOR- Children are expected to exhibit appropriate language and behavior while in camp.  If necessary, parents will be contacted to discuss appropriate discipline actions. Unresolved and reoccurring behavior issues may result in a child’s exclusion from camp activities.
  • SICK CHILD POLICY – Parents or guardians leaving children in the care of the Camp Adventure should not do so if the child has exhibited any symptoms of illness. Recently ill children must be free from sickness or treated with antibiotics for a minimum of 72 hours before enrolling. If children exhibit any symptoms during care at camp they will be sent home and unable to return for a minimum of 72 hours.
  • A copy of the child’s Immunization Records must be submitted to Camp Director prior to start of camp
  • IMMUNIZATION RECORDS-A copy of the child’s Immunization Records must be submitted to Camp Director prior to start of camp. Records will be kept in a locked area and remain confidential. Immunizations must include the Measles Vaccine. If your child has not been vaccinated for the measles or you are unable to provide record of such, they will be denied admittance to camp as per NYS Department of Health regulations.
  • SKY HIGH FRIDAYS- Finish the week off with a trip to the top!  Parents are welcome to join every Friday at 3 pm for a Sky Ride to the top of Windham Mountain.
