January 11th is Learn To Ski & Snowboard Day at Windham Mountain Resort

Part of a Nation-wide Industry Attempt to set a New World Record

Windham Mountain, Windham, NY (January 2, 2019) -

On Friday, January 11, 2019, Windham Mountain Resort will be one of over fifty ski and snowboard areas across the country working together to attempt to set a new world record for the most beginner ski and snowboard lessons taught in one day.  In an effort to allow beginners to get the full experience, Windham has invited guests to purchase the $99 First Timer Package that’s offered daily and get some extra perks for participating in Learn to Ski and Snowboard Day. Breakfast, a chairlift ride on Westside Six to the summit for a photo-op, and an après experience in Seasons that afternoon are included, along with a first timer lift ticket, lesson, and rental equipment.  Advanced registration at windhammountain.com is required, where additional details may be found.

Learn to Ski and Snowboard Day is coordinated nationally by Learn to Ski and Snowboard, an organization within the snowsports industry focused on growing the sports of skiing and snowboarding.  January 2019 marks the 11th annual Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month, when lovers of the sport are encouraged to bring a friend, and newcomers who to participate in the #firstdayfaces social media campaign are entered to win great prizes.  More information may be found at learntoskiandsnowboard.org.
